Fringe dresses, tassels, bohemian shirts and tribal prints mean one thing — Coachella. Who’s ready? I have to admit, the super-easy-boho-chic LA free-spirited girl style wasn’t something I could ever picture myself wearing. Early this week, I spotted several pieces from various collections that caught my eye — for example, this ETRO embellished silk scarf is just so major and this Valentino navy fringe dress left me speechless. As I understand, Coachella, like every other festival, is all about easy-going vibes and fun clothing. But I’m all about recycling my closet, so I’ve chosen pieces to rock during Coachella and after. The IRO printed shorts paired with a white oversized shirt or a strappy black top with a crossbody bag will work perfectly on a sunny sunday in Manhattan. Realistically, every girl needs a good pair of sandals — and Valentino’s Spring ’14 collection offers the right amount of cool and chic (check out my pick). All of these pieces can be incorporated into your closet and will be easy to adjust to anything you already own, I promise!

Hi Guys, my name is Andrea Encalada. I’ve been following various fashion and personal style blogs for some time, and I finally decided to start this new chapter in my life, and create one of my own, where I could share my personal lookbook of outfits, ideas, places, and inspiration with others. The name of my blog is a mix of my last name, Encalada, and the infamous old expression, The Whole-Enchilada, which means the entirety of something. And voila! “The Whole-Encalada” was born! I envision this space to be a variety of different topics in my life, and help me express my love for fashion through photographs.
Thank you for visiting!
What was once old is now new. This twist on the overall trousers, takes denim from lounge too chic. Here I wore light washed overalls with one of my most beloved vintage finds –a lace and silk lingerie inspired top. After all, this seems to be one of the very few options the city’s weather allows me to wear today… Am I the only one?
