Fringe dresses, tassels, bohemian shirts and tribal prints mean one thing — Coachella. Who’s ready? I have to admit,  the super-easy-boho-chic LA free-spirited girl style wasn’t something I could ever picture myself wearing. Early this week, I spotted several pieces from various collections that caught my eye — for example, this ETRO embellished silk scarf is just so major and this Valentino navy fringe dress left me speechless. As I understand, Coachella, like every other festival, is all about easy-going vibes and fun clothing. But I’m all about recycling my closet, so I’ve chosen pieces to rock during Coachella and after. The IRO printed shorts paired with a white oversized shirt or a strappy black top with a crossbody bag will work perfectly on a sunny sunday in Manhattan. Realistically, every girl needs a good pair of sandals — and Valentino’s Spring ’14 collection offers the right amount of cool and chic (check out my pick).  All of these pieces can be incorporated into your closet and will be easy to adjust to anything you already own, I promise!

Trend Report

Elegant with an avant-garde twist, Sophie Bille Brahe’s eponymous fine jewelry line is everything but boring. I’ve tried to fight it, but now I’m completely obsessed with jewelry’s newest trend —Pearls. In case you aren’t familiar with the brand, below I’ve collected several of my coveted pieces from Sophie Bille Brahe’s La Pyramide de Perles collection.

Sophie Bille Brahe’s designs are all about diamonds and pearls. Expect diamond dotted ear cuffs, delicate stacking rings that look beautiful worn alone or together, bracelets, and necklaces. The inspiration behind the designs is influenced by Brahe’s family’s passion for astronomy and the clean spirit of Scandinavia.

New York, you are without a doubt, the best city in the world, but holy macaroni, you have got to give us a break. I’m starting to seriously reconsider the facts, here! This weather couldn’t possibly be for real, could it? On the bright side, I get to wear the chunkiest of outerwear available to man, and twenty pounds worth of clothes. How lucky am I? You don’t have to answer that. I hope everybody is having a good first day of New York Fashion Week. Now, let’s the games begin!
